Hi Benny & Betty

First and foremost I must apologise for not responding sooner to your recent Blog about Betty's Family that you kindly forwarded to me.

It was nice to see how the Bucarro Family welcomed you into their Home and endorsed your Friendship with Betty ...... something not so easily acceptable with many Families back then in Zanzibar.

You truly are made for each other and I must say that I had a big smile on my face as I read Betty's little Autograph Note / Letter : How she professed by writing to you about your "Beautiful Smile" .... how she longed to see it and was going to "love you forever! " ...... such a lovely thing to say about you!!

Indeed when you walk into a Room, Benny, you just light up the Room with your beautiful Smile! .... A Charismatic Guy is what you are my Friend!!

What can I say! - I didn't realise that you and Betty were Childhood Sweethearts !!

I really enjoyed the way you compiled her Story from her Childhood days to growing up to her Adulthood and all the romancing during that period.

On yes! I recognised "Tutti Frutti" your Speed Boat and I was also engrossed with all the Media Cuttings which I read about you bringing up from 50 Metres down on the Seabed the Body of Mutheir Kharusi who drowned on a Fishing Trip that went wrong and paid with his Life.

You Are Highly Respected within The Arab Community Of Zanzibar!!

Everyone knew " BENITO THE DEEP SEA DIVER AND LIFE SAVER "

Good Stuff in that Blog on Zanzibar. The end result will be even better!

What a pleasant surprise you arriving in the UK and not keeping us informed. All told with last moment arrangements it was great meeting up at Ben & Bet's. What a lovely day too with the sun shining all day.

Brian & Connie thanks for joining us at real short notice. Your company was greatly appreciated and as always Brian, you certainly give us a good laugh with your good jokes.

Dear Mel & Phil, Brian & Connie, Raymond & Judy and Colin

Thank you all for joining us on Sunday 7th August hosting our guests Mel & Phil from Toronto Canada. It certainly was a wonderful group titled 'The England Connection' - and though Mel and Phil met up with our good friends for the first time, there was some connection in Mumbai and Calcutta making it more interesting. (Always some common ground when the A.I's meet).

Most surprisingly to our amazement the sun came out as you all arrived at 6.00 pm giving us a chance to sit on the open deck enjoying a few sundowners.

We certainly had fun all evening with plenty to talk about and laugh, followed by great fun after dinner with Betty's VODKA JELLIES competition. Did we have a winner, check out on the short video clips below. (Think we will have to meet up again to pick a winner!!)

The late night singing and dancing added to the fun with our specialist ballroom dancers and Raymond playing the Harmonica followed by Mel Gallagher Sinatra singing 'My Way' added to the entertainment rounding up at 1.30 am. (Only wish Betty had the camera set to video).

All of you certainly made it a great day and we will not fail to follow this up in the near future. Vodka Jellies not to be missed.

WHEN COUSINS MEET

Please see below a few photographs taken at Norma's home where we all had a good laugh with plenty of good food and drinks flowing.

It is a great pity I failed to take photographs when you spent the day with us at Parklands Way as it would add to this photo collection. Well it means you have to come back and we party again with Colin, Norma and other friends.

Sorry for the delay in forwarding this blogspot. For some reason it skipped my mind and only today I mentioned to Betty I will load pics and forward as a token of rememberance at NORMA'S.
